Thanksgiving Morning Turkey Trot 5K and Fun Run!

(Check Back at this page for Race Day Information)

Come join us for a Thanksgiving Morning Turkey Trot 5k and Fun Run at 8AM to benefit to Cache Community Food Bank! The Holiday season is always one of the busiest times for community support systems like the Cache Community Food Bank. So, Gospel Peace Church is organizing this fun way to come together as a community to serve each other.
Make this your new family tradition!  Thanks To Some Local Partners We Are Able To Give Away Free T-Shirts To Donating Participants While Supplies Last! Come and get some exercise on the cool morning of thanksgiving with friends who love Cache Valley. Imagine how much turkey you can eat after getting in a morning run!
The run will start at the USU legacy fields and then work its way in and around campus! (Check out the 5k Map here
Instead Of A Registration Fee We Are Asking That All Participants Bring A Donation Of Either Food Or Materials. (A donation of $5-10 of food or materials goes a long way! but of course if you can be more generous then great!)
They are often in particular need of:
- Fresh fruits and vegetables
- Baking and cooking staples (cooking oil, sugar, flour)
However, all store-bought donations are welcome.
Also materials such as :
Hygiene items (toilet paper, feminine care products)
Paper products (plates, napkins, paper towels)
Work gloves
Printer paper

Inclement Weather Plan:

Race will be held rain, snow, or shine unless we determine that race conditions are dangerous. This will be based on a prudent decision made by race management in consultation with our planning and safety advisors. Every effort will be made to conduct the race; if the race is cancelled, we encourage those who had planned to make donations to the Cache Valley Food Pantry to still do so at an alternative drop location and you will receive a free t-shirt! (Check back to this page for race day updates)

Parking Information: (Coming from HWY 89)

Parking is free on campus due to the holiday and there is plenty of parking to the east of the USU legacy fields. The Race Tents and start line will be beside the USU Aggie Recreation Center (ARC).
